Dr. Brett Newton is from Whitehouse Station, New Jersey and obtained his DVM from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Newton practiced emergency medicine at AnimERge (a 24 hour Emergency & Specialty hospital) in Raritan, New Jersey for 5 years before moving to general practice at Whitehouse Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Newton has over 10 years of experience practicing veterinary medicine, with special interest in surgery, endoscopy, emergency medicine, and preventative medicine. He specializes in dogs and cats, and also has experience in small mammal and reptile medicine. Dr. Newton is proud to be a third generation veterinarian, his mother (Dr. Oberhansley, practice founder), father, and grandfather all dedicating their careers veterinary medicine and helping pets help people.
Dr. Newton enjoys biking, downhill skiing, scuba diving, hiking, and spending time with his wife, daughter, golden retriever Dexter and cats Chip & Poppy.
